35° Leader Born in the South of France but now based in Paris, Françoise Nielly creates large-scale oil painting portraits that are both vibrant and full of contrast. Her expressive use of bright, and often neon colors, along with black is quite stunning. She creates her paintings using only a palette knife and oil paint she hand mixes. The knife technique she uses layers thick, aggressive strokes of paint that evoke such a sense of energy.
